| Criterion | Google Slides | Creation (Ember) |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Presentations in the browser, co-editing | Structure the story, then slides |
| Access | Any Google account can create | Ember Free plan, then credits |
| Collaboration | Live co-editing, comments, pointers | Not a Docs / Meet suite |
| Workspace | Recording, spotlight depending on plans | Not comparable to Meet |
| Offline | Yes, according to the Slides page | Not stated |
| Price | No single grid on the Slides page | See the Ember pricing page |
| Best if | The team already lives in Drive and Meet | The thesis or ICP is the blocker |
| Limit | A template aligns brand, not the offer | No Google-style co-editing |
According to its official Workspace page, Google Slides presents itself as a browser presentation tool, no install, with live co-editing, comments, templates, PowerPoint import. Anyone with a Google account can create. Presentation recording and speaker spotlight sit on Workspace plans. Gemini in Slides is an add-on.
This is the default tool of a B2B team already in Docs and Meet. It solves the "Version 12 Final" nightmare, the Kärcher quote cited on that page. It does not solve a pitch that collapses on the first objection.
Creation starts from the opposite: most decks fail because the structure was not challenged. It generates slides from intention, with a coherent arc and claims tied to foundations. These mechanism promises remain to be checked on a real deck.
When to choose Google Slides
Google Slides suits a six-person workshop, a client working in the same file, a Meet call, or live edits. Working offline is possible, the page says. Some features, such as Gemini, are add-ons. Workspace prices are not quoted here, because the Slides page does not show a single grid comparable to Ember's.
Limit: a domain template (Business / Enterprise plans) aligns the brand. It does not align the offer.
When to choose Creation
Creation suits a founder or small team that must defend a figure, an ICP, or a "why now". Ember announces a three-minute setup, with four frames (investors, clients, team, board). Ember does not promise Google-style co-editing.
Test: take a Slides deck that lost a meeting. Ask Creation to rebuild the story from foundations, not from the file. If the new story exposes no gap, you did not have a structure problem.
Ember prices
Ember has a free plan and paid credit-based tiers; current pricing is on the Ember pricing page. Google Slides pricing depends on Workspace plans, while Creation pricing is on the Ember pricing page.
