What Gamma offers for a returning deck
The Gamma API documentation, read on September 29, 2026, describes an endpoint to "adapt, remix, or transform an existing Gamma": you give the ID of the Gamma used as a template and a prompt describing what changes. The template's structure is preserved by default and changes only when the prompt asks. The result can be exported automatically to PDF, PowerPoint or PNG. According to the access and pricing page, an API key is available on Pro, Ultra, Teams and Business plans. For teams, the help pages say that custom themes are automatically shared with all users in the workspace.
This is the most automatable route, if someone can connect the API to a data source.
What Creation offers for a returning deck
Creation lets you duplicate a deck (the duplicate keeps its language), edit a page with a targeted prompt or by hand, then share the deck with another Ember user or a team, read-only or in edit mode. In both modes, anchored comments stay open. It exports a deck to PDF or PowerPoint. It schedules nothing and does not check your figures: if the month's number is wrong, the slide stays wrong. Creation can also import an existing PowerPoint file, useful if last month's deck was made elsewhere.
This is the route of editorial continuity with human sign-off: last month's deck stays in front of you, with its comments.
A monthly checking routine, whatever the tool
- Freeze the story: three messages the deck repeats every month.
- List the figures that move (recurring revenue, cash, headcount, pipeline) and those that do not.
- Duplicate or generate, then replace each figure, with its source and date.
- Hunt for leftovers from the previous month: words like "this month", dates, customer names.
- Get sign-off from the person who answers for the figures before sending.
- Archive the sent version to compare next month.
