Beautiful.ai vs Ember
Do they solve the same need?
No. They can follow each other. They do not replace each other.
B2B decks die in two ways. Either each seller starts from a different file, and the brand dilutes. Or everyone uses the same theme, and the argument stays weak. Beautiful.ai mainly answers the first failure. Creation mainly answers the second.
Beautiful.ai, homepage read on 12 September 2026, calls itself "AI Presentation Software for Teams". It stresses themes, logos, 300+ Smart Slides that realign content, shared libraries and view tracking. The Team plan, pricing page the same day, adds live editing, a central library, locked themes and versioning.
Creation, Ember's page the same day, refuses the "slide generator" label. It starts from intention (investors, clients, team, board), structures an arc, and ties each claim to foundations. Second Brain flags a narrative gap. This is not a Figma competitor. It is a competitor to "we have a pretty deck and a hole in the model".
When to choose Beautiful.ai
An enablement team that must ship sales templates, quarterly reviews, one-pagers on brand. The criterion is visual consistency and production speed. 300+ layouts and a 14-day trial are enough for an internal test. A card is required for the Pro trial, the pricing FAQ says.
Limit: the team can ship a still-soft argument faster. The Cvent testimonial on Beautiful.ai's homepage (McNeel Keenan, 75% less presentation time) measures time, not conviction, and it is a vendor-hosted quote.
When to choose Creation
A B2B team pitching a contract, a raise, a board, and getting stuck on "why you". Ember describes slides that move when ICP or pricing changes. That is a mechanism promise, not a measured customer result here. Test it: change a foundation, check whether the deck follows. If nothing follows, Creation did not hold what the page claims.
Limit: a ten-person design team co-editing live will not find a Beautiful.ai Team workspace here. Ember is not sold that way on the Creation page. Lead Intelligence is not an alternative to Beautiful.ai: one ranks accounts, the other produces slides.
Pricing: do not compare the invoice line
Beautiful.ai, pricing page read on 12 September 2026: Pro $14.50 per month billed annually. Team $40 per user per month billed annually, or $50 billed monthly, for 2 to 20 seats. Enterprise on request.
Ember does not publish a separate slide tariff for Creation: the feature is included in the Ember subscription. Current tiers and prices are on Ember's official pricing page (https://ember.do/en/pricing), which is the source to check rather than a figure reproduced here that would go stale.
A Beautiful.ai Team seat is not an Ember credit. Compare the deliverable (branded deck versus narrative tied to the model), not the invoice line.
A one-week test
Use a real team deck, not a toy slide.
- In Beautiful.ai, apply the Team theme, produce the same scope, note time and visual consistency.
- In Creation, start from foundations (ICP, offer, figures you actually own), generate for the intention, then change one foundation and see if the story follows.
- Decide on two questions only: does the brand hold on its own, and does the thesis survive three objections.
If the meeting turns on visuals and view tracking, Beautiful.ai. If it turns on ICP, client ROI and objections, Creation. If both block you, keep both. If neither changes the decision, do not buy.
