Do not assign universal scores. Use the team's own access, capability, evidence and risk. Choose the channel that can test the current weak transition within the declared capacity.

4. Select one primary channel and one support asset

The support asset helps the channel convert or qualify. For outbound it may be a problem brief, calculator or scoped proof. For expert content it may be a clear conversion page and a manual follow-up path. For partners it may be a forwardable note. The asset is not a second campaign with another calendar and metric set.

5. Apply one qualification contract to every source

Assess fit, problem evidence, plausible timing and access to the decision. Record each as pass, unknown or fail. Unknown never silently becomes pass. A referral and a cold contact use the same commercial gates, even if their contact routes differ.

A three-person software team targets finance leaders in multi-entity companies where a recent acquisition has increased reconciliation work. It chooses a four-week test with twelve protected team hours per week. Those figures bound the example and are not market benchmarks.

The baseline shows enough eligible accounts but few attributable interactions, so reach is the first weak transition.
